A novel activating receptor MAIR-IV associates with ITAM-bearing adopter molecule FcRγchain and regulates cell activation. We detected that MAIR-IV could also transduce activating signal in absent of FcRγ chain. Here we shows that syk is dispensable but MyD88 is indispensable in this FcRγ-independent pathway.
