Respiratory rehabilitation in the elderly patient with COPD who aimed the palliative intervention of dyspnea.

本研究探讨了自主神经和心血管反应在年轻和老年受试者腹式呼吸的比较。在年轻和老年受试者中，腹式呼吸期间的RR间隔反应与自发呼吸期间的反应变化相似。与腹式呼吸前相比，腹式呼吸显著增加了年轻和老年受试者的副交感神经反应活动。与腹式呼吸前的静息状态相比，不仅青年受试者，而且老年人受试者的尿去甲肾上腺素浓度也有所下降。提示腹式呼吸法可作为任何年龄段的诱导放松方法。因此，腹式呼吸可以缓解COPD患者的呼吸困难。

This study investigates the comparison of autonomic nervous and cardiovascular responses in young and elderly subjects during abdominal breathing. RR interval responses during the abdominal breathing were similar change to the response during the spontaneous breathing in both young and elderly subjects. The abdominal breathing significantly increased the activities in parasympathetic nervous response compared before the abdominal breathing in young and elderly subject. The urine noradrenaline concentration of the abdominal breathing decreased compared to that of resting state before abdominal breathing not only in young subjects, but also in elderly. It is suggested that the abdominal breathing might be the method to induce to relaxation at any age. Therefore, the abdominal breathing may be available to relieve the dyspnea in COPD patients.
