The development of regenerative periodontal therapy targetting for the new amelogenin binding prpteins

Emdogain(牙釉质基质衍生品，EMD)在牙周病学中得到广泛认可，用于牙周手术中刺激牙周组织的再生。在这项研究中，我们研究了与釉原蛋白结合的蛋白质，以阐明参与牙周组织再生的分子。我们鉴定了新的釉原蛋白结合蛋白YB-1(人Y-box结合蛋白-1)和几种细胞骨架蛋白。我们的数据表明，这些蛋白通过与釉原蛋白结合而参与牙周组织的再生。

Emdogain (enamel matrix derivative, EMD) is well recognized in periodontology, and it is used in periodontal surgery to stimulate regeneration of periodontal tissues. In this research, we investigated the proteins bound to amelogenin, to elucidate the molecules involved in the periodontal tissue regeneration. We identified new amelogenin binding proteins, YB-1 (human Y-box binding protein-1), and several cytoskeletal proteins. Our data suggest that these proteins are involved in regeneration of periodontal tissues by binding to amelogenin.
