Do the layered silicates in smectite-mica series form solid solution?

蒙皂石和云母属于一组层状硅酸盐，分别分为可膨胀粘土矿物和不可膨胀层状硅酸盐。最近我们发现了云母的膨胀行为，并提出了其分类的基本问题。在本研究中，我们对蒙脱石进行了基础研究。云母体系结合实验矿物学、材料科学、晶体化学和计算科学。

Smectite and mica, which belong to a group of layered silicate, have classified into expandable clay mineral and non-expandable layered silicate, respectively. Recently we found the expandable behavior of mica, and proposed the basic issues of their classification. In this research, we have carried out the fundamental researches for smectite. mica system by combing experimental mineralogy, material science, crystal chemistry and computational science.
