The study of Japanese stencil resist dyeing in Sendai

本研究是对盛行于仙台的染坊“楚森”用来染浴衣和天牛鬼染的材料进行调查和收集。对591个纸质图案进行了数字化保存和破损图案的数字化修复。此外，771种染色样本和特努贵设计卡已被数字保存。并打印了收集到的三份印花布文件。

This study have been performed to investigate and to collect the materials were used to dye the yukata and the tenugui by "Chusen" which were ever practiced at skilled dye houses in Sendai flourishingly. The digital conservations of 591 paper patterns and the digital restorations of the breakage pattern were carried out. Furthermore, the dyeing samples and tenugui design cards of 771 kinds have been digitally conservated. And the three documents of collected dyed goods were printed.
