Biogenic manganese oxides for recovering inorganic elements from aqueous media

研究了严苛顶孢杆菌（Acremonium strictumKR21-2）酶促生成的生物源锰氧化物与重金属离子和无机砷等多种元素的相互作用。Mn（II）氧化酶很容易嵌入BMO中，并有效地将Mn（II）氧化为Mn（IV）。因此，BMO对各种无机元素具有较强的亲和力和“自再生”能力，表明BMO可适用于有效的元素回收工艺。

We have investigated the interactions of biogenic manganese oxides enzymatically formed by Acremonium strictumKR21-2 with various elements such as heavy metal ions and inorganic As species. Mn(II) oxidase is readily embedded in BMO and effectively oxidizes Mn(II) to Mn(IV). Consequently, BMO possesses the strong affinity to various inorganic elements as we as the “self-regeneration” ability, indicating that BMO can be applicable for effective elemental recycling processes.
