Fundamental Research on the Construction of Library Management Theory

This research formulated a method for constructing a theory of library managementthat will yield a fitting strategy and organization structure for libraries. The studyprocess is comprised of four phases:(1) identifying business organizational andstrategic theories previously applied to libraries, and analyzing how these theorieswork on library organizations;(2) analyzing how these theories were formulated so asto determine the most suitable method for libraries;(3) formulating a method forconstructing a theory for library management(4) adapting this method for librarymanagement. In particular, the research method was applied on sixteen cases byconducting interviews and document searches, and finally, based on these results, astrategic and organizational theory for libraries was cons
