Construction Contractors and Political Parties in Prewar Japan

本研究探讨20世纪20年代至30年代日本建筑承包商与政党之间的串通关系及其背景。它采用了两种途径：一种是政治途径，考察由建筑承包商组成的政党下的群体；另一种是社会途径，考察建筑中日工的劳资关系和劳动生活文化。他们之间的勾结关系是随着战前日本资本主义的发展和民主化而形成的。

This research explores the collusive relationship and its backgrounds between construction contractors and political parties from 1920s to 1930s in Japan. It adopts two approaches : the political approach, which examines the groups under the political parties composed by the construction contractors, and the social one, which examines the labor-capital relations and the labor and life culture of the day workers in constructions. It provides that the collusive relationship between them formed in tandem with the evolution of capitalism and democratization in prewar Japan.
