Storage Activities of Early Farming Society in West Asia

本研究旨在重新审视西亚早期农耕社会仓储活动的变化，并探讨作为后来文明社会基础的商品管理制度的形成过程。为了实现这些目标，研究了来自泰尔科克和其他当代遗址的考古证据。尽管在Tell el-Kerkh观察到了被视为文明社会先驱的密集储存活动，但其他证据表明，商品管理制度的形成是一个多系的过程。在早期农耕社会，各种商品经营方式的发展依赖于多样化的经济战略，而后来的管理制度就是从这些经营方式中提炼出来的。

This study aimed to reconsider the variation of storage activities of early farming society in West Asia and to discuss the formation process of the management system of commodities as a basis of the later civilized society. To accomplish these aims, archaeological evidences from Tell el-Kerkh and other comtemporary sites were examined. Although an intensive storage activity considered as a forerunner of the civilized society was observed at Tell el-Kerkh, other evidences demonstrated that the formation of the management system of commodities was a polyphyletic process. Various management methods of commodities developed depending on diversified economic strategies in early farming society, and the later management system was extracted from these methods.
