With the combined support of Innovate-UK and investment finance, Get The Lowdown Ltd (GTLD) will develop the first dedicated and clinically validated platform that combines the latest clinical guidance with real user experience to provide tailored contraceptive advice specific to the user across all forms of contraception and in doing so reducing the need for an appointment with a healthcare professional to address commonly asked questions. The concept has been designed to address key challenges in accessing support in this complex area of healthcare and known gaps in knowledge in Primary and Secondary Care with information given in an easy-to-understand format aimed at all target users regardless of ethnicity/culture, age, gender and level of health literacy. Combined grant and investor funding will accelerate development and exploitation in the global FemTech market, forecast to reach $5.0Bn by 2033 and support future application across wider health conditions including fertility, polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis.
