The feasibility study will consider key business model issues in a sportswear start-up whose garments will be based on a novel ‘living’ fabric product range. Its unique helical-auxetic(H-A) graduated compression garments aim to revolutionize the rapidly-growing $8.5 billion sportswear industry by being able to dynamically respond to body movement. As athletes’ muscles expand so does the novel H-A fabric, storing energy for re-supply, thereby boosting sports performance. The company’s garments require a novel manufacturing approach involving spiral wrapping.
