Inherently Viricidal PPE

The aim of the Project is to produce a range of PPE products made from material that possesses inherent anti-viral properties. More specifically, PPE that is inimical to the Covid-19 virus on point of contact.This will provide an enhanced level of personal protection to the wearer and greatly decrease the transmission of pathogens to the general public, as incorrect use and disposal of contaminated PPE by healthcare workers can often increase the risk of pathogen transmission rather than reduce it. (Especially when PPE is used by non-professionals and lay public, as with the current Covid-19 pandemic).
