The project will focus on structure-processing-property relationships in discontinuous fibre reinforced thermoplastic composites. The work involves both an experimental and numerical programme and aims to develop high-volume manufacturing processes for structural thermoplastic composites that display an optimal balance in processing and mechanical properties. The project will address aspects related to process modelling, property prediction and recycling of thermoplastics composites
