Recent studies show that people spend at least 3 to 5 daily hours online, thus creating and sharingpersonal data (emails, post, photos, videos and other types of internet activity).During their time online, people build up a "digital life" and they eventually will face a "digital death" or"digital afterlife". The proposed research will focus on the exploration and legal understanding of digitallegacies.Up to now, there are no precise legal answers on how to deal with them. They may vary depending on theplatform, the country or the user's own determination.
