The concept of topological order is most often associated with groundstate or near-equilibrium features of many-particle quantum systems. This project aims to investigate settings where non-equilibrium and topological order intertwine. We shall investigate both novel non-equilibrium forms of topological phases and new non-equilibrium features originating from topologically ordered groundstates.
