My research will explore how people living in post-conflict environments engage in infrastructuring practices to access trusted sources of information. This work builds upon existing HCI scholarship on infrastructuring which looks at how people engage with, and around, failing systems, societies and physical infrastructures to enable day to day access to information and thus contributing to a sense of ontological security. My work contributes to both HCI and security scholarship through connecting information security to socially grounded understandings of security through the post-conflict transition continuum. I will build upon similar work which I did in Lebanon in 2022 and which has been published at USENIX 2023 and will be published in CSCW 2024. I will conduct 3 months of ethnographic fieldwork in Cauca, Colombia in spring of 2024 using methods of participant observation, focus groups and interviews to collect data which will unpack these topics
