The field of wearable sensor technology that enables recording and analysing electro-physiological parameters in real time, has seen substantial advancements in recent years. Extensive research is being conducted on flexible wearable sensors as they have significant potential in healthcare monitoring and soft robotics. Despite remarkable advances in the field, soft deformable sensors are intrinsically sensitive to multiple external stimuli, making it extremely challenging to measure only accurately and selectively the desired parameter. The aim of this project is to develop soft electronic skins capable of selective detection of multiple parameters. The project will explore nanoscale materials, bioinspired materials, and novel digital manufacturing processes to fully decouple the response of soft sensors.
