This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The objectives of this study are: 1) determine the effectiveness of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for treating depression in Parkinson disease; 2) to determine the effect of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) on depression and motor function for those who fail rTMS therapy, and 3) to characterize the time course of response for rTMS and ECT following rTMS
