我的研究计划有助于了解沿海地区地下水连通性的地球化学功能和重要性。它的重点是陆地水生连续体，与subsurfacesurface水文连通性，地下河口的地球化学转化的具体活动，和过去的沉积印记，目前的连接。长期目标是改进对沿海区地下水连通性对全球变化的反应以及在与气候有关的时间尺度上对海洋系统和人类社会的影响的预测。这些研究处于地球化学和水文地质科学的前沿。

My research program contributes to understand the biogeochemical functioning and importance of coastal zone groundwater connectivity. It focuses on the landaquatic continuum, with specific activities on subsurfacesurface hydrologic connectivity, biogeochemical transformations in subterranean estuaries, and pasts depositional imprint on present connectivity. The long-term objective is to improve the predictions on the response of coastal zone groundwater connectivity to global changes and the consequent effects on the oceanic system and human society over climate-relevant timescales. These researches are at the forefront of biogeochemical and hydrogeological sciences.
