Multiscale Building Physics

随着建筑环境面临气候变化放大的城市热岛强度的增加，该中心的目标是：1.探索在不同尺度上发挥作用的物理学，将这些尺度适当地联系成一个综合的多尺度方法；2.开发湿热耐久性和城市热岛缓解的新的性能评估方法；3.应用新开发的模型来设计创新的解决方案。从水在多孔建筑材料中的作用到城市小气候的研究，CRC解决了建筑和城市物理学中的科学挑战。通过这种集成的计算和实验方法，有望获得新的理解和开创性的工程解决方案。

With the built environment facing increase in urban heat island intensity, amplified by climate change, this CRC goals are: 1.to explore the physics at play at different scales, properly linking these scales into an integrated multiscale approach, 2.to develop novel performance assessment methodologies for hygrothermal durability and urban heat island mitigation, 3.to apply newly developed models towards designing innovative solutions. The CRC addresses scientific challenges in building and urban physics, from the role of water in porous building materials to the study of urban microclimates. New understanding and pioneering engineering solutions are expected through this integrated computational and experimental approach.
