近现代数学专题史系列丛书

近现代数学史是国际数学史界研究的热点领域，而专题史又是近现代数学史研究的一个重要组成部分。目前，国内近现代数学史方面的著作多为通史类，这类书籍通常涉及面较广，关注于许多数学分支发展过程中一些关键人物，而省略这些关键人物所从事研究的推理过程，读者很难从中掌握此数学分支的思想缘起和演化过程。本项目拟出版一系列近现代数学专题史方面的著作，包括“代数方程之Galois的历史”，“一般拓扑学的历史”，“泛函分析的历史”。每部著作均深入到数学内部，注重思想探源和思想间的相互关联，重现或复原这一数学分支奠基者的原始思考轨迹和思想动机，探讨相关数学思想和方法产生的历史根源以及在近代数理科学发展中的应用价值，以弥补我国近现代数学专题史方面著作的缺失。本项目的实施将进一步推动国内近现代数学史的研究，以期使我国学者在近现代数学专题史著作方面能尽快融入国际潮流，为赶上国际数学史界的研究水平做出一些贡献。

The research on the history of modern mathematics is a hotspot topic in the history of mathematic, and a special subject history is an important part of the history of modern mathematics. At present, the books on the history of modern mathematics mainly focus on general history in China, such books usually involve a wide range of history and focus on the key figures in the development of many branches of mathematics, but the reasoning process are often eliminated, this makes it difficult for a reader to understand the source of the thought and historical evolution of the branch of mathematics. This project plans to publish a series of books on special subject history of modern mathematics, including “The history of Galois theory in algebraic equation”, “The history of general topology”, “The history of functional analysis”. To relate mathematics in detail in each books and focus on the origin and interrelationships of the thought, to reconstruct and rebuild the original thinking and motive of the founders in the branch of mathematics, outline the historical root of related mathematical thought and method, clarify the theoretical significance and application value in modern mathematics and other discipline, so as to make up the gap of books on the special subject history of modern mathematics. The project will further push forward Chinese research on the history of modern mathematics, we hope that the Chinese scholars could gradually integrate the international trend on the books of special subject history of modern mathematics, and make some contribution to catch up the level of international research on history of modern mathematics through this project.
