Sensitivity and stability are the key performance indexes to the bio-sensors. Constructing Ln-MOFs with high surface area can enhance the sensitivity effectively. However, they usually suffer from the poor stability. In order to improve the sensitivity without losing the stability, we propose to build the flexible Eu-MOFs. Their dynamic structures can expand and shrink during the adsorption and desorption of the guest molecules. In this project, the Eu-MOFs with the acs topology is chosen as the model MOFs. Through the systematic experiments and characterizations, we expect to obtain the influences of the guest molecules and the organic ligands to the pore properties and the flexibility of the Eu-MOFs. With the help of X-ray diffraction, their dynamic structures during the adsorption and desorption processes will be thoroughly analyzed. Further, the optimized synthesis conditions and the influences of the flexibility of the Eu-MOFs will be summarized. Besides, the flexible Eu-MOFs will be explored in biosensing. Through the analysis of the sensing performance and the mechanism, the relationships between the flexibility and the sensitivity will be studied. Based on the above researches, we will provide a unique way to consturct Eu-MOFs with high sensitivity and stability, which is of great significance to promote the sensing performance of Eu-MOFs as the biosensors.
