A directed triple system of orderv, denoted by DTS(v), is a pair (X,) whereXis av-set andis a collection of transitive triples onXsuch that every ordered pair ofXbelongs to exactly one triple of. A DTS(v) (X,) is called pure and denoted by PDTS(v) if (a,b,c) ∈implies (c,b,a) ∉. An overlarge set of PDTS(v), denoted by OLPDTS(v), is a collection {(Y {yi},):yi∈Y,j∈Z3}, whereYis a (v+ 1)-set, each (Y{yi},) is a PDTS(v) and theseform a partition of all transitive triples onY. In this paper, we shall discuss the existence problem of OLPDTS(v) and give the following conclusion: there exists an OLPDTS(v) if and only ifv≡ 0,1 (mod 3) andv> 3.
