In this study,N-doped porous carbon (denoted asN-doped-MOF-C) was prepared by one-step carbonization of metal organic framework material, NH2-MIL-125. Pd and Ag nanoparticles were immobilized on theN-doped-MOF-C through co-reduction method with NaBH4as reductant. The results indicated that Pd9Ag1-N-doped-MOF-C catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity and selectivity for the catalytic transfer hydrogenation of nitroarenes using formic acid as the renewable hydrogen donor. The high catalytic activity of the catalyst can be attributed to the synergetic interaction between the support and the highly dispersed Pd and Ag metal nanoparticles.
