Materials and methodsUnder ether anesthesia, 42 Sprague-Dawley rats (150250 g) were decapitated. Extracellularly recording of spontaneous unitary activity of FN neurons were made from the sagittal cerebellar slices containing FN by using glass microelectrodes lled with 2 M NaCl (impedance 510 M). Peri-stimulus time histograms (PSTH, sampling interval= 1 s) of neuronal discharges were generated by the software Spike 2 (CED, UK) to assess the effects of histamine and histamine receptor agonists on the FN neurons and the effects of histamine receptor antagonists on
