change, break down, and reassemble, and how are these processes controlled? Last, but certainly not least, it will be important to study how lamina components interact with, anchor, and space NPCs. While Masuda et al. (2021) observed NPC-sized gaps in the AgNMCP network and Fiserova et al. (2009) observed NPC–filamentous network contacts, it will be exciting to further explore the associations between these two key nuclear structures. In all, the nuclear lamina is a principal nuclear structure in all eukaryotes, and Masuda et al. (2021) have made a significant contribution to the cause of exploring the organization of this structure in plants, thereby opening up the field for further structural and functional discoveries.
