A new species Callicarolynia yixieke Kang & Hu, belonging to Pteromalidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), and also a newly recorded genus Callicarolynia Heydon, 1989 from China and Palearctic region, is described and illustrated from a depopulated alpine area, Altun mountain nature reserve (Xinjiang, China), and the morphological characters were compared with its closely related group.
