Genotypes data at 105 autosomal STRs with tetranucleotide repeats for Japanese and Korean were analyzed statistically to differentiate between both populations. As a result, almost all of the individuals in both population were categorized into each own population in a 2-dimentional (2D) plots by a factorial correspondence analysis (FCA). Bayes factors (BFs) based on Dirichlet multi-nominal distribution also showed about 92% of Japanese individuals were strongly suggested as Japanese. Furthermore, as a general tendency, it was shown that it was easier to determine Japanese-origin but somewhat more difficult to determine Korean-origin.
