Equipment will be purchased to support research into the development and application of artificial intelligence tools and expert systems in particular. The specific projects include: development of an expert system to assist in compiler construction, development of an expert system to aid in training users of VLSI design tools, development of advanced interfaces to knowledge-based systems, research into the software development environment, and development of a computer learning model.
