SBIR Phase I: Nondestructive Strength and Rehabilitation Assessment Wood-Based Structures

我国存在着许多木结构，在确定结构的剩余寿命时，一个重要的考虑因素是确定木质材料的现场强度。该项目将制定对原地木材强度进行无损评估的程序。这些数据将使工程师能够评估现有木结构的修复潜力。调查结果将为开发用于评估木结构现场强度的无损检测设备提供依据。

There are many wood structures in existence throughout the country and an important consideration in determining the remaining life of the structure is the determination of the in-situ strength of the wood material. This project will develop procedures for the nondestructive evaluation of the strength of the wood in place. The data will enable engineers to evaluate the rehabilitation potential of the existing wood structure. The results of the investigation will provide the basis for the development of nondestructive testing devices for use in assessing the in-situ strength of the wood structures.
