Engineering Research Equipment Grant: Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer

This is an award to purchase an atomic spectrophotometer for the purpose of metals analysis in connection with on going environmental engineering research at Unversity of Nevada. This equipment will be used for the following research projects: 1) hydrogen peroxide treatment of organic hazardous waste spills on soils, 2) photochemicals oxidation of wastewater effluents, 3) calibration of dynamic water quality models by in-situ microcosms, 4) characterization of mercury in the suspended load.
