This grant is to support a Conference of Research in Engineering Design and NSF Design Theory and Methodology Grantee Workshop (Design Theory '89) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; June 1989. The purpose of the conference is to bring together the engineering design research community for exchange of current research results, ideas and directions. A Proceedings will be published, and papers presented will be considered for publication in the new Journal of Research in Engineering Design.
