The Summer Marine Education and Research Program for Young Scholars sponsored by The Graduate School of Oceanography of the University of Rhode Island is a three week summer commuter project for llth and l2th grade Rhode Island students. Students, who are high achievers, interested in marine-related post secondary education and careers will interact with scientists and participate in a variety of research projects. They will develop skills necessary for scientific research and will be confronted with marine environmental issues.
