The goal of this project is to bring together a significant number of researchers in the area of material handling for a workshop focusing on the current state of research and the critical issues to be addressed in the last decade of the 20th Century. Co-sponsorship for the project is provided by the Material Handling Industries of America through the College- Industry Council for Material Handling Education, and the Material Handling Research Center at Georgia Tech.
