项目摘要
This grant provides funds to upgrade the water resources and environmental engineering program at Pratt Institute. The major items of equipment consists of equipment for the Hydraulics Laboratory: hydraulic benches, fluid circuit systems, a pump and turbine test set; and the Environmental laboratory: sedimentation, filtration, ion exchange columns, oxygen transfer cylinders, activated sludge tanks and an anaerobic digester. This laboratory also provides the opportunity to introduce water quality and quantity workshops for area high school teachers and provides a strong basis form industrial interaction. The institution is providing matching funds in an amount equal to or greater than the funds provided by the Foundation.
