RIA: The Effect of Gravel Content on Liquefaction of Gravelly Soil

本文的目的是研究砾石颗粒对砾砂试件抗液化性能的影响。其目的是定量地显示砂子的液化势是如何受到砾石颗粒包裹体的影响。由于砂土很容易被大多数工程师认为是可液化的，所以几种砾石土的液化势将与砂土的液化势进行比较。将使用病历和动态实验室测试来证明砾石土是可液化的。

The object of this proposal is to investigate the effect of gravel-sized particles on the liquefaction resistance of gravelly-sand specimens. The goal is to show quantitatively how the liquefaction potential of sand is effected by inclusion of gravel particles. Since sand is readily accepted as liquefiable bu most engineers, the liquefaction potential of several gravelly soils will be compared to that of sand. Case histories and dynamic laboratory testing will be used to show that gravelly soil is liquefiable.
