Integrated Ocean Resource Applications Workshop

研讨会的目的是制定一项战略和计划，以促进美国在200英里专属经济区（EEZ）的经济利益。研讨会将重点关注：1)解决这一问题的现状和紧迫性；2)美国专属经济区资源对国家的经济价值；3)政策关注的领域；4)机构角色和技术能力；5)提高美国竞争力的机会。研讨会将制定一项全国性计划，以激励工业界、大学社区和政府，为阻碍美国这一重要经济部门增长和发展的问题找到创造性的解决办法。

The purpose of the workshop is to develop a strategy and plan for advancing U.S. economic interests in our 200 mile Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The workshop will focus on: 1) the present status and urgency for addressing this subject, 2) the economic value of U.S. EEZ resources to the Nation, 3) areas of policy concern, 4) institutional roles and technical capabilities, and 5) opportunities for enhancing U.S. competitiveness. The workshop will develop national plan for energizing industry, the university community, and government to find creative solutions to the problems that are inhibiting growth and development in this important U.S. economic sector.
