This award will support to defray some of the travel expenses for selected participants form the United States in the Third Pan American Congress of Applied Mechanics (PACAM III), to be held on the campus of Sao Paulo, January 4-8, 1993. The objectives of the PACAM series include promotion of mechanics as a scientific and technical field in the Americas, to enhance personal interactions, to expose new research findings to the community of researchers and engineers.
