Meeting on Research on Climate Changes of the Last 2000 Years in Monsoon Asia, to be held April 21-23, 1993, Taipei,Taiwan

该奖项支持美国参加将在中国台北举行的研讨会，探讨过去2000年季风亚洲气候变化的研究。讨论的重点是准备和分析：(1)早期仪器和历史记录（殖民地和土著）和(2)过去气候的高分辨率代用记录，如树木年轮、层状沉积物、带状珊瑚、高高山地区的冰芯。中国台北国家研究委员会同意在igbp -过去全球变化（PAGES）的主持下主办这次会议。

This award supports the U.S. participation in a workshop to be held in Taipei/China to explore research on climate changes of the last 2000 years in monsoon Asia. The discussion focuses on the preparation and analysis of: (1) early instrumental and historical records (colonial and indigenous) and (2) high resolution proxy records of past climate, such as tree rings, laminated sediments, banded corals, ice cores from high alpine areas. The National Research council of Taipei/China has agreed to host the meeting under the auspices of the IGBP-Past Global Changes (PAGES).
