Planning Grant to Develop A Science Teacher Institute: A Teacher Enhancement Program

This proposal seeks to develop a proposal for the enhancement of elementary and middle school teachers. The project will include the development of an elementary and a middle school Science Teacher Institute in Shelby County and Memphis City Schools. The planning grant will (1) collect baseline data, (2) establish an Advisory Council, (3) secure consultants, and (4) develop an implementation proposal for submission to the National Science Foundation. The planning grant will cover a period of six months.
