Manufacturing Engineering: A "Head Start" Program in Computer-Integrated Manufacturing

The University of New Haven seeks to provide an enrichment program in engineering to introduce high potential and high ability high school minority, female and other students entering eleventh and twelfth grade to educational and career opportunities in manufacturing. The program is structured to provide "hands-on experiences in the use of computerized integration and controlled manufacturing, as well as to teach basic research methods and ethics to 42 students in two four-week sessions during the summer with follow-up experiences during the academic year.
