9452686 Orzech Oregon State University seeks to initiate a three-week, residential, Young Scholars Project in physics and mathematics for 36 students entering grades 8 and 9. The participants will be members of the existing Oregon State University Science and Mathematics Investigative Learning Experiences (SMILE) Program that offers academic year mathematics/science/computer enrichment activities for minority students, mostly Native American and Hispanic, in rural Oregon communities.
