Spilhaus/ABSTRACT Funds are requested for two purposes: (1) to provide travel support for U.S. participants to attend the 10th International Conference on Atmospheric Electricity in Osaka, Japan (10-14 June 1996) and (2) to publish the resulting papers, after being reviewed,in a special section of the Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres. The selection of the travel awards will be made by a Committee who will carefully evaluate the merit of applications from graduate students, women and minorities.
