9816138 Seborg This U.S.-Brazil award will support a planning visit by Dr. Dale E. Seborg of the University of California, Santa Barbara to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to meet with Professor Enrique Luis Lima of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro to develop a research project concerning nonlinear process control strategies based on neural network models. In addition, Dr. Seborg will visit universities in Campinas, Porto Alegre and Uberlandia to become more familiar with the scope of process control research in Brazil. ***
