The award provides travel support for approximately 25 graduate students to attend the Eleventh Symposium on Global Change Studies and other coterminous scientific conferences that will take place at the American Meteorological Society's 80th Annual Meeting, 9-14 January, 2000 in Long Beach CA. These travel scholarships provide a unique opportunity for graduate students to deepen understanding of the field, as well as broaden their career horizons.
