Administration of the Clinical Reasearch Unit

The administrative office of the Clinical Research Unit 216 was established immediately after funding for the CRU was granted. In addition to the daily managerial duties its main tasks include logistic and financial support for lecture series, retreats and seminars, the accounting and disbursement of funds for publications, travel and office supplies, and management of public relations issues. In addition, the secretary organizes schedules for joint scientific exchanges within the CRU and co-ordinates specific structural programs. Thus, the gender equality program, the scholarship program for MD students, the clinician scientist program and a new chair for translational oncology have all successfully been implemented during the first funding period. Administration and co-ordination of the CRU lie within the responsibilities of the head of this consortium (Chair of Translational Oncology). The structural programs and the secretary position (one administrative assistant, office equipment and consumables) are mainly funded by the Medical Faculty and are part of the endowment of the W3 professorship. As in the previous proposal we apply for funding of an additional Gerok-Stelle for the clinician scientist program funded by the DFG.
