项目摘要
This fund will support two undergraduate students working onJefferson lab PrimEx project. They will work on hybrid crystalcalorimeter development, and be responsible for the photo-multipliertube's examination and selection by measuring the linearity and highrate stability. They will also work on Monte Carlo simulation forthe coordinate reconstruction of HYCAL. Upon the availability oftravel funds, they may stay at Jefferson Lab for two months in thesummer to work on the detector assembling and beam test. Theparticipation of undergraduate students in the physics frontierresearch will provide them with interesting challenges whiledeveloping skills in many areas. Funds from this proposal willtherefore enrich a solid undergraduate physics program.
