IAPSO/IUGG XXIII General Assembly Travel Grant

This award provides financial support for twenty travel grants directed at scientists fro lesser developed countries from former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe to attend the XXII General Assembly of the IAPSO/IUGG in Sapporo, Japan, June 30-July 11, 2003. The scientific topics o be presented and discussed include: "State of the planet: Frontiers and Challenges" and "Earth Systems and Global Change". The Union lecture will be delivered by Nobel Laureate Professor Mario Molina on the "The Impact of Human Activities on the Chemistry of the Atmosphere."
