This award provides support that enables graduate studentsandpostdoctoral fellows to participate in the SeventeenthInternational Conference of Few-Body Problems in Physics. Theconference is sanctioned by the International Union of Pure andApplied Physicists (IUPAP). It is the most highly attended meetingof experts in the area of few-body physics, averaging about 250physicists in the last three meetings. Theintellectual scope of theconference covers topics on quantum few-body problems at alldistance scales, ranging from subnucleonic to molecular systems. Traditionally, this conference has served as a catalyst in theformation of international collaborations that have addressed someof the most challenging problems in the field. Giving youngscholars the opportunity to engage in these exchanges is asignificant investment in the future of the field. An importantoutcome of the conference is the setting of short-term goals for thefield. The proceeding of the conference will be published in theNuclear Physics A journal and will be available to the broaderresearch community.
