Für die räumliche Lokalisation, Identifikation und Trennung von Schallquellen kombiniert dasmenschliche Gehör verschiedene monaurale und binaurale (zweiohrige) Merkmalströme auf bisher nurteilweise aufgeklärte Weise zu einem konsistenten Bild der akustischen Umwelt. Ziel des Teilprojektesist die Modellierung dieses Prozesses unter Verwendung statistischer Methoden der Quellencodierungund -trennung unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des binauralen Hörens in realistischen, rauschbehaftetenHörsituationen.
